On 5th October 2008 in his first ever public meeting in Murree organized by Sadaqat Abbasi (Organizer Murree), Imran Khan asked the supporters of his party to get ready for a struggle to bring about real independence in this country. He said that we wont sit back until Iftikhar Chaudhry is restored since he is still the constitutional chief justice of Pakistan. He said that the real independence can only come when the judiciary is independent. He said that the biggest crime Asif Zardari has committed is to betray the nation and not restore Iftikhar Chaudhry. He asked PPP to realize the truth since Asif Zardri has hijacked them and betrayed the struggle they had fought for restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry afrer 9th March 2007.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday wished Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan in particular and Muslims of the entire Islamic world in general.

On Sept 27 2008, Kings College Pakistan Society and UK PTI organized an event with Mr. Imran Khan.  The event was held at one of the Kings College Waterloo campus. This is one of the largest Halls at Kings. We had more than 450 people at the event.  

People started arriving at around 3.30 pm and before 4.30 pm the hall was completely filled. PTI representatives had arranged for membership sign up desks and were encouraging people to sign up. 

President of PTI Islamabad Women Wing, Mrs. Zareen Nawaz Khan has demanded that Bajaur operation should be stopped and the government should ensure safe return of the displaced families to their homes. Displacing such a big amount of innocent people in the month of Ramazan is not a solution to the problem.

Central Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Omar Sarfarz Cheema has said that India has violated the Indus Water Treaty 1960 and tried to strangulate Pakistan's economy. by illegally stopping water in river Chenab. Pakistan has  exclusive rights over Chenab and Jhelum rivers' water, which is the lifeline of Pakistan's agrarian economy. PTI has called upon the government to link signing of trade agreements with India with implementation of 1960's water sharing Indus Basin Treaty between the two countries. He called upon the government to lodge a strong protest with India and to take up this matter with the World Bank and the relevant UN bodies to ensure implementation of Indus Basin Treaty by India in letter and spirit.

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has called for the government to take the nation into confidence on the ongoing war on terror.

"Now, we will have to face the challenge as a nation, as innocent women and children are being killed with impunity," PTI Media Adviser Zahid Hussain Kazmi said in a statement issued here on Monday. "Pakistan, today, is one of the most insecure countries because of the disastrous policies of the rulers following the 9/11 events," he said.

The PTI leader opposed allowing the US or British spy agencies to investigate into the Marriott suicide attack, asking if they were to probe into such acts, why the local agencies were being allocated hefty budgets.

CHAIRMAN Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, party office-bearers and members strongly condemned the bomb blast at Islamabad on Saturday night. Imran issued directions to PTI Islamabad members to help the injured on the spot and arrange blood donations at hospitals.

The PTI leader said that this was all happening also as a result of a mutual arrangement. He described the US criticism in Pakistan arliament as a mere drama. He was of the view that the sacked judges who had taken a fresh oath had caused a dent in the ongoing struggle for the independence of judiciary.

Welfare Wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Islamabad chapter distributed 'Insaf Langar' among the laborers working in F-11 and nearby areas. Similar Langars were earlier distributed among Laborers and Madressahs in other areas such as F-10, G-11. PTI Islamabad will also be distributing Ramadan Relief packages among poor and needy families identified by coordinators of various areas in the coming few days.
